YouTube Auto Reload When Video Fails (Only in Active Tab)
Description:
Automatically reloads the YouTube page when a video fails to load or shows errors like "This content isn't available." Works only when the tab is active, to avoid unnecessary background reloads.
Sometimes it only takes one reload, other times it may take hundreds — but F5 always works eventually.
Inspired by this Google Support thread.
Detailed description:
This script monitors YouTube’s video playback status using a MutationObserver.
If the video gets stuck, fails to load, or shows the dreaded:
🔺 "Video unavailable. This content isn't available, try again later."
It will automatically reload the page — just like pressing F5 repeatedly — until the video loads.
💡 Sometimes only one reload is needed. Sometimes it takes hundreds. But it always works eventually.
🟢 Works only in the active tab to avoid unnecessary reloads while the page is in the background.
!!!Sometimes you need to press F5 once when you first open the video.
