What the "Instagram Reels+" Script Does
This script transforms your standard Instagram feed (including the main feed, explore page, and saved/bookmarked posts) into a powerful, full-screen, "Reels-style" viewing experience. It's designed for efficient browsing with a focus on keyboard and mouse wheel navigation, removing distractions and adding features that Instagram lacks natively.
Key Features
📺 Full-Screen Focused Viewer: Once activated, it hides the standard Instagram UI and presents posts one by one in a clean, dark, full-screen overlay.
🖱️ Smart Mouse Wheel Navigation: Scrolling with your mouse wheel intelligently navigates through content. It will first cycle through all photos/videos in a carousel post before moving to the next or previous post.
⚙️ "Skip Carousel" Mode: If you prefer to browse faster, you can enable this option to make the mouse wheel and arrow keys always jump to the next/previous post, ignoring other media in a carousel.
🧠 Intelligent Auto-Scroll: The script can automatically advance to the next item for you. It has two modes:
Smart Mode: Waits for a video to finish playing completely before scrolling. For images, it waits for a few seconds.
Timed Mode: You can set a fixed delay (e.g., 3s, 5s, 30s) after which it will always scroll to the next item.
▶️ Enhanced Video Player: Videos are displayed with a custom control bar that appears when you hover near the bottom. It includes a clickable progress bar for scrubbing, a play/pause button, a time display, and a volume slider.
⌨️ Full Keyboard Control: Nearly every action can be performed with keyboard shortcuts, from liking and saving to navigating and scrubbing video.
How to Use It & Controls
Activate: After installing the script, a "Reels Mode" button will appear at the top-right of Instagram. Click it.
Start: The button's text will change to "Click any post to begin...". Simply click on any photo or video on the page to launch the full-screen viewer.
Once you are in the viewer, you can use the following controls:
⌨️ Keyboard Shortcuts
Navigation
Up/Down Arrows (↑/↓): Go to the previous/next post. (If a post is a carousel, it will go to the next slide first, unless "Skip Carousel" is on).
Left/Right Arrows (←/→): Cycle through photos/videos within a carousel post.
Actions
L: Like or unlike the current post.
S: Save (bookmark) or unsave the current post.
F: Follow or unfollow the post's author.
Video Playback
Spacebar: Play or pause the current video.
Comma (,) or <: Scrub backward 5 seconds.
Period (.) or >: Scrub forward 5 seconds.
General Controls
X: Enter or Exit the Reels+ viewer mode.
Q or Escape: Exit the Reels+ viewer mode.
🖱️ Mouse Controls
Mouse Wheel Up/Down: Navigates to the previous/next item. Like the arrow keys, it will cycle through carousels first by default.
Double-Click Video: Toggles mute/unmute for the video.
Hover on Video Bottom: Reveals the video control bar for scrubbing and volume adjustment.
UI Buttons: All actions (Like, Save, Follow, Next/Prev, Exit) are also available as clickable buttons on the screen.
